Living A Softer and Slower Life For 2026

My 2026 Vision-board. This year I plan to slow down more, continue to romanticize mum life, take offline days weekly, spend more time reading books and writing on here and my substack.

I am also planning to finish the kitchen renovation and extension interior designs, which is a humungous job alongside looking after the little one, however, it keeps my brain ticking and I get to be creative. So, it’s a win win situ.

I will also continue to trot along and do my 10-12k steps a day, but with no pressure to actually hit that goal every day… Because, let’s be honest, some days it’s hard to leave the house with the little one. Especially when it’s -8 outside – what the helly UK weather!

I also wish to travel to Japan, Iceland, Norway, Paris and Italy, well, hopefully… As the travel bug never fades!

And to go back to my roots and be a blondie! Which I haven’t been since I was around 13. I’m actually one step closer to be a blondie already, it’s more of a strawberry blonde at this stage.

Any who, those are my “goals” if you like, or in other words, a “vision-board” for 2026. What all the cool girls are creating at the mo.

Side note. I’m truly enjoying maternity leave and I am contemplating what I am going to do with my life when I return to work life this year or in 2027 – that time-line is something I’m still deciding on.

I dream to do many things in my career, but I have to say, my greatest achievement in thirty six years is becoming a mum. A good mum, or so I like to think.

Being a mum has really taught me to slow down and embrace the tiny moments.

Some of my favourite moments are my daily cuddles with Alessia. We have a little cuddle, or in other words… I’m nap trapped for an hour or two on the sofa. She’s peacefully snoozing away, Arch is by my side and I’m watching The Summer I Turned Pretty on TV. I can’t think of a better combo to be honest with you.

Besides from the lovely teeny tiny moments and watching her grow, I plan to show her the world and develop her into a some-what decent human being.

She will be turning one in the Summer. And, I’m taking in every single moment.

There are so many moments I will look back on when I’m old and grey and remind myself that I am the luckiest lady to have such a beautiful and healthy child, after nine awfully painful years of infertility. So, I’m all for the slow living trend this year.

What’s on your 2026 Vision-board? Not everyone needs to create one, but they are a really fun thing to do!

If you didn’t know, I used to be a Designer, so doing some old school collage-ing makes me super happy. Reminds me of my 2011 era!

Anyway! Before I dash off and before baby girl wakes up… Is there any specific content you would like to see from me? Please do let me know in the comments!
I’ve got tons of ideas, however, I just thought it would be good to see what my readers are more interested in too!

Ah amazing, hope you get to visit Japan! I’m not sure if it’s do-able with my little one, but it’s a dream of mine to go. x

It’s getting there :). I have another blonde session soon.

Hopefully Joe and I can make the travel plans happen, but having a sleepless / ill period with the little one, so the struggle is real haha. Realistically I don’t think we are able to do Japan until she’s older, we shall see! Hope you’re doing ok! xx
