Diptyque Brand Focus

Diptyque is one of my favourite luxury brands! I’ve always been a fan of their baies candle. It smells unreal, trust me!

You may be familiar with the brand, as almost every Beauty Blogger or Influencer I know, loves them. You can spot them in almost every Blogger’s backdrop in snaps.

If you haven’t heard of Diptyque, they are one of the most renowned Parisian fragrance houses. Famous for their candles, perfumes and much more. Founded in the sixties by three friends, interior designer Christiane Montadre-Gautrot, theatre set designer Yves Coueslant and painter Desmond Knox-Leet decided to share their love of art and design and create something new and meaningful.

Let’s talk packaging and design!

If you’re into fancy-looking well-thought-out designs, then this brand is for you! There are so many things every Creative person will love about them. Firstly, the design is minimalistic – if that’s your jam.

The standard designs are usually in black and white, very-elegant looking! But the founders like to mix things up with a bit of embossed gold or illustrated floral designs sometimes to keep things interesting! The packaging is designed robust and beautifully thought about.

What fragrances would I recommend?

As I mentioned earlier, baies is gorgeous. “The tangy coolness of freshly picked blackcurrant berries. A few black bunches still have their leaves, their green and aromatic scent blending with the lively, flowery accents of rose.”.

Another one I’d recommend is Roses if you’re into fresh, floral scents.

And lastly, I’d recommend the festive one, etincelles (limited edition). Smells of wood fire, coffee, and chocolate. Absolutely lovely! And I love the well-thought out details – the gold lid, the little gold stars, and black and gold design on the front on this limited edition candle.

Are they worth the money?

If you want your house to smell like a fancy boutique and you’re really into your fragrances, then I’d say yes. But we’re talking £50-65 a pop, and that’s the regular sized ones. However, there are cheaper candle brands such as woodwick that do a cracking job at making you feel all cosy and snug, as well as making your house smell incredible.
I’d say Diptyque products are a real treat – a birthday or Christmas gift perhaps?

Have you got a favourite Diptyque product or fragrance?

I have a real soft spot for Diptyque candles but they’re so pricey! I’ll buy maybe 2/3 a year. I love the packaging x
