February has been a cracking month of events, we had a staycation in Cornwall, I started my new job and we even had a relaxing spa day at Champneys – what a treat!
I actually haven’t had a free weekend since December, it’s been full on busy in our household. We’ve had three weekends of birthday plans for Joe, including a party round ours this evening with a bunch of friends.
So, without further a do, here are my favourite moments in February. The joyful moments.
A staycation in Cornwall – At the start of Feb we stayed at the beautiful Artist Residence in Penzance. The hotel is dog-friendly, so we brought Archie along with us. I wrote about our time there here if you’re interested in having a read.
Joe’s birthday weekeneders – As I mentioned above, it’s been pretty full on with birthday plans for Joe. We had Marilyn and Em visiting for the first weekend – where we played board games and had cocktails, as well as having a delicious Indian take-away. The second weekend, I surprised Joe with his uni friends coming down to ours for a little party. And lastly, this weekend, we’re catching up with our close friends on the Saturday, then on the Sunday we’re going to the pub to see Joe’s dad and Tracey (his step-mum).

Valentines Day – Joe bought me a beautiful bunch of flowers for V-day. We made a mushroom risotto for dinner and spent the evening with friends. We call it ‘Palentines’ day.
Painting Pottery Class with my ladies – Beth suggested this idea that we’d go to a pottery class one evening, which we did, and it was so much fun! We got to paint pottery, had drinks, snacks and had good chats.
New Converse – I thought I’d pick up some new kicks from ASOS. Saw these Valentines special ones so had to get them!
Spa day – I bought a Valentines package for Champney’s in Tring for Joe’s birthday. It was such a relaxing day, although we seemed to have gone on the busiest day of the year haha. We both had a head in the clouds massage, I had an express pedicure and complimentary hydro bath. And, Joe had a back massage!
Job offer – And last but by no means least, I accepted a job offer at a Design and Marketing agency! I’ve been getting stuck into the job this week and loved it! It has a real family-culture-vibe which I like. I’ve been in the office Mon-Weds, was off on Thursday for my spa day and working from home on Friday.
What a great month! I really want to try a pottery class! xx
