Life Lately

Hello you! Apologies for disappearing off the blogging sphere for over two weeks. Life just kinda got in the way.

So, thought I would quickly scramble some words together off the top of my brain.

To start I had a lovely birthday on Halloween, thank you for all the wonderful wishes. Joe and I had a four day celebrations – we went to the Alice in Wonderland exhibition at the V&A, had friends over to watch horror films on my actual birthday and went to the Crazy Bear the following day for afternoon tea.

Other than that, we have been seeing friends and family A LOT. Lots of birthdays in November to celebrate! And, I’ve been seeing my nan in hospital when I can. Although she’s being discharged back to her care home soon which is a positive, but no visitors for two weeks is the only downside.

Also, we’ve been on numerous sausage strolls (where a bunch of sausage dog owners get together and do a big walk) in Hertfordshire. That’s been lovely, meeting new faces and old, exploring new woods close by and seeing Archie’s gorgeous little face light up!

And, at long last, I have a date for my operation (first part of stoma reversal where they put a stoma on the other side of my stomach or even better through the same hole). I’m going in hospital in early December, then I’ll be out of action for a while recovering. I’ll try my best to schedule content in advance but, we shall see.

On another note, work has been really busy, struggling to manage everything in my part-time hours, but I love what I do. And, I get to work from home with Archie by my side which is a bonus!

I think that’s all I’ve got to update you on! Hope you’re all doing really well – let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments! Christmas is coming up, so that’s exciting – blooming love the cold wintery months! But perhaps I’ll be bed ridden and have Christmas dinner in bed haha.

Much love.

I’m so glad you’ve finally got a date for your op, and Christmas dinner in bed definitely sounds like a plus point to me haha! The sausage strolls sound wonderful too, I want to come even though I don’t have a doggo!

Sounds like you have had a busy and exciting time! Happy belated birthday! Definitely rest up and take all the time you need to recover from your surgery – a quite month at home resting in the cold weather all cosy inside sounds good!
