For Joe and my eleventh anniversary, we decided to hop in our car and travel to the countryside for a two night stay at the Artist Residence in Oxford.
It was all over my gram and stories. What can I say… it was very Instagrammable, as the cool kids say.
The Artist Residence is an “idyllic retreat at the gateway to the picture-perfect Cotswolds”. Rooms have been designed to encapsulate the relaxed and bohemian spirit of the English countryside.
We stayed in the Shepherd’s Hut, a cosy bolthole perfect for two (and a miniature dachshund), with built-in double bed, log burner, compact bathroom with rainfall shower and warm cookies on arrival.
Our stay was very cosy indeed!
I wholeheartedly loved our time here, we ate our hearts out at The Mason Arms and ordered room service quite a few times… it was bliss. My veganism did go out of the window as there wasn’t many options on the menu. However, I would say I’d happily come again and stay in a bigger room and eat ALLLL of the foods, especially those buttermilk pancakes again, yum!
Anyway… thought I’d share some snaps with you!

I’d love to visit again in the Summer!

This place is adorable,
It sounds like the perfect place for a week-end away.

The cookies were a dream! x
It looks like such a cosy place to stay, even with the rain! What a nice little cabin 🙂
Hope you had a good weekend 🙂 We made the most of the nice sunny days after a rainy week, with a local market event and a morning at the park.

The weather didn’t bother me at all, it was such a cosy place, with a fireplace and anything.
I did indeed, well spent most of it in bed due to my stoma being blocked. But it was nice to relax for a change. Sounds lush! x
Your staycation sounds wonderful! These pictures from your trip are beautiful!
