Crunchy leaves, wooly knits, crackling candles and hot chocolates with whipped cream. It’s officially Autumn, my favourite season.
September has been a jam packed month, lots of events happened and seeing family and friends. AND bake off is officially back, hooray! A great month overall!
Bank holiday weekend – Date day in Berko at The Olive Tree, Marilyn visiting for the weekend, family house warming gin partay and doggy assault course with Dani, Teddy and Archie. A fun filled bank holiday weekend.
Gin tour and Honest Burger – At the start of the month, Joe, Marilyn, Emily and I headed into LDN for a gin tour and for a bite to eat. Joe wasn’t feeling too well, so we had to stop the gin tour early. We went to Honest Burger, for of course, burgers, and it was delish. The plant bacon burger did not disappoint.
Dogfest – We adventured out to Stevenage to Dogfest with Archie. We met up with our friends Chris and Ciara, and their pup Dani briefly, as well as meeting lots of other sausage dogs.
London day out @ inamo and Van Gough Alive – Joe and I had a date day in LDN. We had vouchers from buyagift for all you can eat tapas sushi at Inamo. We ate far too much! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. And we ventured to Kensington Gardens to see Van Gough Alive exhibition – not the best we’ve been to but still fun.
Finished the flooring in the bedroom – We finalllllllly finished the flooring in our master bedroom! We also put the rattan in the wardrobes. Next up is to change the door knobs, the light, make the bed and put up the blind. But struggling to find time to do it all.
Jack Whitehall Travels with my father – If you want something light hearted to watch, then watch this! It’s hilarious! I’m on season 5, episode two and I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in ages!
U.S Open women’s final – Emma Radacanu was playing and she only flipping won didn’t she! What a brilliant match!
Garden furniture arrived – We were hoping that our garden furniture would have arrived before the house warming but it came two days later. Never mind! We’ve been enjoying the warm weather in September sitting outside eating lunch and dinner. Feels like we’re on a permanent holiday!
My giant lobster from Tatty Devine – I finally caved and bought the giant lobster! It’s beautiful. I also ordered some ear rings and a brooch from two of their collaborations.
Girls night – Beth, Emma and I had a girly night round Beth’s house. It was lovely catching up and felt like it’s been a while since we last saw one another. Need to do more girly nights! We’ve got a girls night out in October in Kings Langley which I’m looking forward to.
Damian, Tracey and Lillie coming down to ours – We had a lovely roast dinner courtesy of Joe and just had a chatty catch up. We’re still working on Archie being around children, he just dislikes them which is a shame, but we’re trying to expose him more and more to them.
Bake off – I’m SO happy GBBO has returned! We went round Beth & Alex’s to watch the first episode, but think we will make it a weekly thing.
The month isn’t over yet, but thought I’d do my September Joys early. We’re travelling to Oxford for our eleven year anniversary at the end of this month! Which I’m planning to blog about, so watch this space!
What’s brought you joy this September?
