Zoey Olivia’s Money Diaries: July

I’ve seen these types of posts on some of my favourite bloggers blogs, so I thought it was about time I did one, also, so I can keep track of my spendings.

As we’ve moved house, I’ve been extra spendy this month with my savings, I’m not usually this bad I promise. Luckily Joe pays for the majority of the food shops and the mortgage, so I can be a bit frugal with what I spend. I do treat us to nice home-ware bits, the odd take-away or meal out and Gousto/Pasta Evangelists boxes every month.

So without further a do… Confessions of a shopaholic incoming… here’s my money diaries for July:

Pasta Evangelists box: £25.50
Amazon: £95.90, £51.87 – homeware bits and bobs
Pub meal with family: £83.20
Tatty Devine: £85.00, £108.00 – ordered some sale bits and pre-ordered a necklace
Uber Eats: £22.89 – cheeky take-away
M&S Food: £7 – Snacks for when we went to Margate
Made: £194 – Office chair was much needed for my office
Doughnut Time: £28.50 – Treat for the solicitors
Watford Football Club: £14.95 – Dad’s birthday pressie
New look: £101.97, £99.96 – Bought some gorgeous midi dresses
ASOS: £37.38, £42.00 – Picked up some sunnies, make-up and leopard print cycling shorts
West Elm: £80 – for two door mats
Etsy: £185.54, £19.00 – for rattan and door number
M&S: £81.00 – for some gorgeous white dotted bedding and two grey hand towels
Gousto food box: £24.99
Anthropologie: £64.00 – Bought some gorgeous bee curtain holders for the living room
Space NK: £56.00 – I picked up two Drunk Elephant cleansers to try as I’ve used up my beloved Kate Somerville one
Siteground Yearly Hosting: £172.66 – Being a blogger is not cheap
Mortgage: £200 – Standard monthly payment
Giffgaff: £12.00 – Standard phone bill

Toal = £1,893.31

Some may say I spend A LOT of money, but we’ve just moved house and these were things we really needed. I spend quite a bit on plastic jewellery – but I just love Tatty’s pieces! And I try to only buy one or two pieces every month, it just so happened that there was a sale on.

Over the next few months, we will be making big purchases like our bed, dining table and what not. Possibly even a hot tub for the garden, I know, extravagant purchase there, however we will get a lot of use out of it as Joe has hip problems and it’ll soothe his joints. We will also need to budget for paints and re-doing the upstairs bathroom in a few months time too! Our friends Beth and Alex gave us a pot of navy paint they had spare to do our feature wall in the living room which was lovely of them.

Hope you found this somewhat interesting! I know I did, looking back on all the purchases I made this month.

Me too haha! Ooo I’m intrigued to see. I don’t spend that much on beauty products these days, trying to use up what I have before buying more. x

I told myself that July would be a no-spend month but it definitely hasn’t been! Moving house helps you justify a lot of these expenses! x
