If you know me in person, you’ll know that I love afternoon tea! But this is my first vegan afternoon tea I’ve tried and I have to say I cannot fault it, or Fortnum and Mason. Any who, I just wanted to share my experience.
Firstly, the service was outstandingly good! You’d expect it to be top notch anyway, but our server’s went above and beyond and made us have a really enjoyable time.
But let’s talk about the food, mhmm… food glorious food. You can find the menu here, but I will talk through what we had anyway. We were presented with five different sandwiches, pickled fennel and whipped feta, apple and celeriac remoulade with watercress, cucumber with dairy free mint cream cheese (my fave), chargrilled artichoke and semi dried tomato and kohlrabi and carrot slaw.
Next we have the scones with butter and Fortnum’s strawberry preserve.

The patisseries were oat panna cotta with maple caramel and pecan nuts, almond and raspberry sponge with chocolate ganache, yuzu and lemon cheesecake, meringue with blackberry crémeux and chocolate tea cake. All equally delicious.
We also got a glass of champers each as we used a Virgin Experiences voucher. They are currently offering the afternoon tea at £109 for 2 people!
I have to say it was one of the BEST afternoon tea experiences we had and that was all down to the service and the great food. My first ever vegan afternoon tea since making the switch to plant based a few months ago, and what a treat that was.
I highly recommend you to experience Fortnum and Mason afternoon tea for yourself, you don’t have to opt for the vegan option like myself and my hub did, they have vegetarian and ‘normal’ (meat) afternoon teas too.

What’s your favourite afternoon tea in London? I’d love to know!
This looks beautiful and delicious! So lovely. I have been to one which i really enjoyed but there are great afternoon teas in London.

It was amazing! Can’t beat London afternoon teas. x
It’s great that they’re doing vegan options now and it’s quite the range of goodies! I’ve had Champagne Afternoon Tea a few times, but it’s not really something I’d choose because I don’t drink tea and I’m not mad about sandwiches! I just want the sweet treats! x
