I’ve seen a lot of my favourite bloggers rave about Garnier’s Ultimate Blends Nourishing Hair Food masks. So, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
First things first, I picked up the banana and shea formula in Sainsburys‘ for, wait for it… £3.50! So affordable and SO good that I’m going to buy another two when I next do my food shop. I’ve tried ‘banana’ in my Body Shop shampoo and conditioner before and loved the results.
Bananas are great for your hair and scalp. They are known to improve manageability and shine of our hair. Bananas are rich in potassium, natural oils, carbohydrates and vitamins, which help soften our hair and protect their natural elasticity. Also, great for hair re-growth or so trusty google tells me.
Any who…
This hair mask is perfect for dry or damaged hair. It’s not as good as Olaplex No.3 or Phillip Kingsley’s Elacistizer as they are more of a treatment for your hair. However it does a GREAT job at nourishing the hair just after leaving it on wet hair for 3 minutes.
My hair feels silky soft and de-tangled whenever I use it. It also makes my hair look incredibly shiny! A great drugstore hair mask that I now use twice a week.
It’s worth the hype and I’m going to try the other ‘flavours’. As well as their shampoo and conditioner as that’s on offer in Sainsburys’ too. Have you tried the Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food range?
I used to use Garnier all of the time. Especially the hair masks and dry shampoos. I’ve been so busy trying out other brands that I forgot about it! I’ll have to add it to my list next time I need a hair mask!

It’s honestly so good – I’ve just bought another two tubs and also picked up the hair food shampoo and conditioner while they were on offer too! x
My sister used that mask and love it so much. I didn’t try it, but I would like. Thank you for recommendation.

You should definitely try it, such a great affordable mask! x
I’ve tried two masks from this line and loved them both – watermelon and the coconut & aloe. Will try this one soon. They definitely rival some high end brands x

I really want to try the coconut! They do don’t they! x
I need to try this! I always like to have a cheaper hair mask to rotate with olaplex/elasticizer haha xx

It’s so good for the price. I’m using my Olaplex/Elasticizer sparingly atm x
I’m a sucker for a hair mask, especially if it’s super affordable. I love the Lee Stafford hair masks because they smell amazing and really work for my hair. I recently re-purchased the ChocoLocks one and it’s so good! I’m definitely interested in trying out Garnier’s Hair Food Masks after reading your review. I’m not sure if I’d be a fan of the banana “flavour” because sometimes banana “flavours” smell a bit sickly to me but I do like the sound of the Coconut and the Watermelon masks from the range x

Ooo I haven’t tried the Lee Stafford hair masks or ChocoLocks! Thanks for the recommendations, when I’m next in town I’ll see if I can find them in my local boots or superdrug. To be honest it doesn’t really smell like banana. But yeah I really want to try the coconut and watermelon ones too. x
I feel like this is going to smell like foam bananas and make me want to eat them ahahah! I need to look at the other scents/flavours as I think banana would be a tad powerful! xx

Haha! It’s not that strong of a flavour. I really want to try the watermelon and coconut ones. x
My boyfriend loves this hair mask and it smells absolutely delicious! I don’t use hair masks as I find they make my hair really greasy but if I had drier hair, I’d be all over this product x
