January; snowy walks, simmering hot chocolates and home made soups. A joyus month.
I know it’s too early to tell, however, 2021 feels like it’s going really well (despite being in lockdown). We picked up our pooch, Archie, at the end of December and for me that’s a highlight of the whole year to be honest.
It’s time for one of my favourite blog posts, January favourites. So without further a do…
My Velvetiser | Hot Chocolate Crazy – I think this is one of the best things Joe’s ever bought me, besides my engagement ring! I use it on the daily and have been indulging on salted caramel and blood orange hot choc’s, delightful.
Archie – It goes without saying, but Archie is the best thing to happen to Joe and myself in a long time. He completes our family for now.
Batch making home made soups and stews – I’ve made alllll of the soups this month; french onion, butternut squash, potato and leek and I’ve also made sausage stews, just the way my nan used to make it.
Gingerbread men biscuits – I know Christmas is over but I’ve been really enjoying baking. I baked gingerbread men biscuits and choc orange brownies in January. Divine, just simply divine.
Giorgio Armani My Way perfume – I don’t usually wear perfume, but Joe bought me this from my wish list for Christmas and I bloody love it. I’m not going to even attempt to describe the fragrance but it’s lush.

Hello Sausage mug – You may have seen that I ventured into town to buy a cute sausage dog mug from B&M on my insta. £2 people, £2!!!
Nutribullet – I treated myself to a nutribullet this month and I’ve been having smoothies for breakfast every day. Such a great buy!
MC D’s Katsu Chicken Nuggets – Oh my god. These were heavenly!
Pinch of Nom cookbook – This is a recent purchase, which my auntie recommended it at Christmas. Such a great cook book, I’ve made the biscoff pancakes and they were delicious!
Dyson Airwrap – I know these are super expensive but this was a belated Christmas present to myself. I have blowdry-like hair within a minute of styling. LOVE it.
What’s one of your January favourites?

I’m with you with the soups! I’ve made so many this month, its the best comfort soul food isnt it! My favourite is carrot and sweet potato, highly recommend with balsamic vinegar glaze and roasted chickpeas for a protein punch!xx

Ooo, I’ll have to try carrot and sweet potato. I’ve got both of those ingredients so might make a batch in a sec. Would of never of thought to put chickpeas in soup, thanks for the tip. x
I would love to own the Velvetiser, it just looks and sounds so good, plus I love Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate, it’ seriously the best! x

I love the Airwrap too. It’s expensive but it takes the place of three devices and is worth every penny.

I have zero space in my kitchen right now and I want a waffle maker as well haha. They are worth the investment. x
We’ve been hearing so much hype about the velvetiser lately! Definitely seems like we’re missing out on amazing hot chocolates, so we might have to get in on the trend and invest in one.

They’re worth the investment if you have hot chocs most days. Aldi do a cheaper version of it, or so I’ve seen floating around. x
We love our Nutribullet but I’ve been thinking that I need to get back into making soups again. The Air Wrap sounds amazing x

Same, I use mine daily or every other day. x
The Velvetiser is ace isn’t it? I treated myself to one as I’m not exactly going to Starbucks or Cafe Nero during lockdown! And I’ve been dying to try the Katsu Chicken Nuggets! I make a mean katsu sauce so I’m curious how it compares! x

SOOO good! Same, I thought it’s better than spending £3-4 on a coffee or hot choc. They are amazing! I didn’t have them with katsu sauce, but had them with bbq sauce and loved them. x
