Although 2020 was a shitter, there were some good moments during the year too.
I wanted to share those memories with you as there always nice to look back on. So without further a do…
Chocolate Orange Everything
I’m such a basic bitch and jumped on bandwagon of chocolate orange twirls, buttons, basically anything chocolate orange.
Going to the Cotswolds in January
Joe and I visited the beautiful Cotswolds in January. We stayed at a lovely pub, walked around the villages and ate lots of scrummy foods.
Going to the Lakes in August
In the Summer Joe and I drove to the Lakes. We went on long walks, vlogged our time and ate our hearts out.
Visiting Cornwall in the Summer
A highlight of the year was our road trip to Cornwall. What a beautiful adventure and I’d love to re-visit in Summer 2021. I vlogged our time here.
My major stoma and Endo operation
Although it was a frightening time, I’m so grateful for the NHS and my operation as I was really poorly and lost a ton of weight. You can read more about my third endometriosis operation here.
Love and support from family and friends
It goes without saying that the love and support from my friends and family this year has been amazing. Especially after the operation! I was overwhelmed by all the love and the gifts.
Teddy
My mother-in-law bought a puppy for her 60th birthday! He is adorable and a great addition to the family.
Afternoon tea at Dalloway Terrace
I really enjoyed our date days in London. A highlight for me was eating afternoon tea at the beaut Dalloway Terrace.
The shard treat from my lovely friends Beth and Alex
For my 30th birthday, Alex and Beth bought me and Joe tickets to go up the shard. In early January, we dined at Ping Pong and went up the Shard. It was beautiful.
Seeing my grandparents often
After a set of my grandparents passing away sadly and suddenly this year, I made the most of seeing my other grandparents often. They make me smile every time I see them, they’re full of life and have so many lovely stories to tell.
Celebrated 10 years together
Joe and I hit a milestone in our relationship and celebrated ten years together at the end of September. We dined at SUSHISAMBA, Hutong and Hotel Chocolat. And, drank cocktails at Purl.
Celebrated 4 years married
We went into Lockdown the day before our four year wedding anniversary. So we celebrated at home with a takeaway Nandos and watched Joker.
A weekend away in Bristol for my birthday
I turned thirty one this year and we took a road trip up to Bristol, a location I’d never been to before. We ate and drank at some really cool places!
Christmas
I wasn’t feeling Christmasy this year with everything going on but we had a gorgeous roast dinner and chilled. It was lovely. Joe treated me to a Velvetiser, some jewellery, perfume and UGGs too. I’ve been making alllll of the hot chocolates and just spent £65 on a variety of flavours, oops!
Boxing Day Quiz
Joe and I hosted and organised the boxing day quiz and it was so much fun! It was so nice to see my family virtually. And, I may have had too much champers… was hanging the next day lol.
Roast dinner party
We had some friends over and made them a lovely roast dinner. Oh the times when we could actually have people in your home! Any who, it was a great day and I’d love to do more of these this year.
Home made pizza party
Likewise to the roast dinner party, we held a pizza party in the Summer and it was a hit! We’ve just recently bought a pizza oven, so we will have to do more pizza parties this year.
Jumping on the lockdown bandwagon and making banana bread
If you didn’t make banana bread during lockdown then who even are you?!
Dining at The Florist for my mums birthday
I treated my mum to a lovely roast dinner at The Florist. It was nice to just spend some quality time with my mumma.
Archie
On the 29th December I received a message from a friend asking if I wanted a little sausage puppy, I immediately jumped at the chance and took him home on the day. He’s settled in really well! I’ll write a blog post introducing him to the world soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

There’s something so good about choc orange! I made chocolate orange brownies the other day, they were amazing! Yeah was a pretty good year, can’t complain too much. x
Chocolate orange made last year a tiny bit better – especially the twirl 😍. Your new puppy is adorable – love seeing him on your stories! The one good thing about last year was that we all focussed on the positive moments more than other years <3 Really enjoyed reading about your year 🙂 I hope this year is great for you xx

One of my highlights were seeing colourful houses, can’t remember the name of the street! Also drinking coffee and espresso martinis at Playground and drinking cocktails at Her Majesty’s Secret Service. x
I as very ill all year but there were still highlights – the beautiful weather (at times), chatting to my nephews & nieces on Face Time & then seeing them in person during the summer (at a distance). Also, when we were allowed out, we visited the beach that we hope to buy a house near and it was divine! x
