Not that many things have brought me joy this November, due to being in a national lockdown, however there are a few things that have brought a smile to my face.
My birthday weekend away in Bristol – On Halloween (Scorpio baby) we travelled to Bristol. We saw the beautiful colourful houses, and ate and drank till our hearts were content. I also came home to a gorgeous Lush gift box from my best friend and her husband, so sweet of them.
4th wedding anniversary – Due to being in national lockdown, we couldn’t go out and celebrate, so we got a Nandos takeaway, drank prosecco and watched Joker. Such a great film!
Nan’s funeral – The day before our anniversary was my nan’s funeral. Although it was a sad occasion, time spent with family was lovely. We had a little feast and drinks to mark the occasion. There was also bubbles and sparklers, which were nice touches.
Doing 10,000 steps every day – I got into a really good routine of going out for two/three walks a day to hit 10,000 steps. However, I haven’t been able to continue it this week as I was self isolating for an operation.
Eating soup with sourdough bread – I’ve been on a soup diet for the past 2 weeks and I’ve lost 3 and a half pounds. I have had cheat days too, had a chicken kebab last weekend and this weekend I had a Chinese. All about that balance.
Putting the Christmas tree up – We put our tree up early this year, cause we just felt like doing so, I’ve also almost done all my Christmas shopping, go me!
Banana and nutella – For a snack, I’ve been slicing a banana in half and putting nutella in the middle, then bake in the oven for ten mins and voila, the best snack!
Comfy loungewear – I’ve been wearing loungewear non stop this month. I bought a set from New Look and it’s just too comfy to take off.
Having the stent removed from my kidney – I had a minor operation a few days ago to remove the stent from my kidney. I went into a very swanky private hospital and the nurses and surgeons were brilliant.
What little joy’s have happened to you this month?

Putting my Christmas decor up early seriously has set such a good tone for the season! I am jealous of your 10,000 steps. Similar to you, I can do it for a few days, and then I fall completely off my routine! I need to figure out a way to be more consistent with it.

Such a lovely post! November is my favorite month because I was born in November. I just had my birthday a week ago and I’m quitting my job. My mental health always comes first. One door closes, another door opens, so they say. xx
