An Ode To Finding My Place In Sustainability

We all do our bit to help the environment right? Well, here’s some sustainable swaps I’ve made over the past couple of months that I wanted to share with you.

Chilly’s water bottle – ok, so you can pretty much buy any reuse-able water bottle, however the Chilly’s one keeps my water really cold for hours and hours. They are definitely worth the investment.

WILD deodorant – This is a fairly new sustainable swap I’ve made recently and can I just say, WILD win at making the packaging very modern and chic. You can buy the case and one refill for just £12 or you can stock up and buy the case and three refills for £25. I went for one refill and the case as I wanted to see if it was any good and can confirm this deodorant does what it says on the tin. The coconut scent is amazing!

Upcircle beauty face mask – I’ve been trying to use more sustainable beauty brands and Upcircle is one of them. This face mask is made out of discarded olive stones and the packaging is recyclable too. This face mask was kindly gifted to me, however opinions and thoughts are my own.

Reuse-able coffe cup – I bought this one off Amazon and love it. Super handy when going to grab a coffee and you’re helping the environment too.

Reuse-able cotton pads – I used to buy cotton pads on the regular and decided to swap to reuse-able ones. I bought these off amazon and love them.

Estrid razor – I was kindly gifted this vegan razor and I’m going to continue to buy the subscription because it is that good. The blades create the smoothest shave of your life I swear.

Have you made any sustainable swaps?

Thanks Michelle! I agree, you don’t have to swap everything all at once, but start small. x

I agree, it’s the little things that really add up! We all have our own water bottles so we don’t have to buy drinks when we are out, and I had a reusable coffee cup for the office although we haven’t been in the office most of the year, haha!

Hope that you are having a great weekend 🙂 It’s a hot one here!

That’s great news Mica! Yeah, with covid going on I’m not sure when people will be back in the office.
You too! It’s miserable here, supposed to be raining all day. x

I have Vought a new reusable coffee mug recently that is also collapsible so makes it really easy to fit into your bag! I really want to try that razor too!

Reusable cotton pads are a game-changer! And so is of course a reusable water bottle. I’m happy to see many people have made the swap now and don’t buy plastic bottles anymore. The WILD deodorant seems great, I need to try it out! 🙂
    Have a great weekend Zoey!

Great post. It can be overwhelming, trying to figure out where to start. Obviously, I recycle and I’m trying to have more meat-free days. I need to buy reusable cotton pads and that deodorant you mentioned. I hate waste, in general, so that helps. Approaching Christmas, I’m trying to think of more ways to be sustainable – we always re-use gift bags and we’re not buying crackers, but I’m still trying to think of more things I can do x

I agree, there’s just so many things to change and where to even begin. That’s great though – I also have meat free days. I’m the same lol, always reusing gift bags, and the Christmas wrapping paper we bought last year. Although I do want to buy recyclable wrapping paper. x
