I’ve been blogging for 6 years! When I started out I used a Canon 600d which I still use to this very day.
I’ve always been interested in photography and as the blogger world has got more ‘professional’, you really have to up your game in terms of photography. However, for Instagram I mainly just use my iPhone as it’s quick and the quality is pretty decent.
Cameras – for my blog and Youtube channel I use my trusty Canon 600d. For vlogging I use the Canon G9X, it’s bloody brilliant and what most Youtubers use as I did a lot of research.
I also use my iPhone camera for Instagram posts, sometimes I’ll use my 600d when promoting blog posts though.
Lenses – the one I use mostly for blog posts (including this one) is my favourite Canon 24-70mm Macro 0.38mm/1.3ft. Great for portraits and flat lays. I also use the Sigma 30mm 1:1:4 which is fantastic for getting that soft focus look. I used to use this for my blog photograph’s but then switched to the Canon 24-70mm.
Another that I use occasionally is my Canon 50mm 1:1.8 lens, beautiful for giving that soft focus finish too.
One that I very rarely use is the Canon 18-55mm Macro 0.25m/0.8 ft lens – this came with the camera when I bought it. It’s a great lens, however I prefer others.
Laptop – I have a macbook air 13 inch in rose gold which I love dearly and use on the regular. I do all my writing either on my iPhone or laptop.
Photoshop/Pixelmator – I bought Photoshop yonks ago when I was at university, it’s on my old laptop but I haven’t got it on my macbook, so I’ve been using Pixelmator which is free. I use it to edit my blog photos.
iMovie – I use apple’s free editing software iMovie to edit my vlogs. It’s really easy to use! I’ve always wanted to try ‘final cut pro’ but it’s super expensive. Maybe I’ll invest one day, but for now I’ll stick to iMovie.
I hope you found this blog post useful. I’ll try and do more blogger related content in the next few months, so keep an eye out for those. Also, let me know what blog posts you’d like to see from me!

Thanks :). You too lovely. x
Your photos are always stunning. Would you believe that I bought an Olympus Pro & the 45mm lens (I think it’s that one) 18 months ago and haven’t used it. Between Lyme and Covid, my brain is so frazzled that I can’t concentrate on learning anything new, but I’m determined to. I’m going to take a short blogging break after next week (I need it for my health, but the fact that I can’t get my head around the new blogger is forcing me to) so I’ll practice using it then, whilst trying to get to grips with the new blogger! x

Canon is the best isn’t it! x
I recently got the Iphone 11 Pro and the camera quality is insane. I’ve been tossing up for years whether to get a proper camera for blog photos and just can’t justify it because I know I’ll reach for my phone over the camera. Who knows one day I may finally take the plunge. x

I’ve heard the 11 pro is supposed to be really good. I’m waiting for the 12 to come out and going to treat myself to it for my birthday on Halloween. If it comes out by then. x
I love having a nosy at what equipment other bloggers use hahah. I also have a Sigma 30mm which I loove and use so often for my blog photos!
