What I’ve Been Watching & Listening To This Month

These seem to be some of my most popular posts so I thought I would do another one this month!

Plus I love getting Netflix recommendations. You know when you’re browsing endlessly and can’t find anything to watch, well this post will give you some inspo.

TV Shows / Films

Below are some of my favourite TV shows and films I’ve watched this month! Most you can find on Netflix, one on Disney+.

After Life

Ricky Gervais stars in After Life. He plays the role of a man who’s just recently lost his wife to cancer. It’s quite sad but such a good watch! It’s also refreshing to see Ricky Gervais do something other than comedy.

Down To Earth With Zac Efron

Down to Earth with Zac Efron is a tv series where Zac and Darin Olien travel the world and explore different cultures. I’ve recently watched the Iceland and France ones and they are really entertaining. I enjoyed learning more about the water system in France (sounds really boring, trust me it isn’t!) and learning about the foods (rye bread and chocolate) in Iceland.

The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy is an superhero tv series based on the comic book series of the same name. It revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an impending apocalypse.

I’ve only watched two episodes so far, but they’ve been ok. Really really interesting story line though.

Explained

I’ve talked about Explained before, but it’s a tv series with short 20-30 minute documentaries. I’ve recently been watching the ones on Corona virus and they’ve been really interesting! I highly recommend watching them!

The Holiday

I’ve recently been binge watching loads of films while I’ve been recovering from my operation. One that I throughly enjoyed was ‘The Holiday’. I know it’s a Christmas film but it’s a goodie. It’s about two women who swap houses and find love.

Frozen II

This one technically isn’t on Netflix, it’s on Disney+ if you have it. I really enjoyed Frozen 2, the story line was strong. It was just as good as the first film.

The story follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven who embark on a journey beyond their kingdom of Arendelle in order to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and save their kingdom after a mysterious voice calls out to Elsa.

Music

I’ve also been listening to some of my favourite bands, one who has released some new music which I’m really excited about. Also been listening to a bit of pop which isn’t really something I’d listen to.

City & Colour

Dallas Green (City & Colour) is one of my favourite musicians and he’s just released two new songs, ‘Murderer‘ and ‘Sunflower‘. Really really good. The kind of songs you listen to before you drift off to sleep.

Incubus

I haven’t listened to Incubus for years and I just had the sudden urge to play them on Spotify the other day. I was listening to a golden oldie album, ‘Morning View‘, so good!

Two Door Cinema Club

I’ve been listening to their album ‘False Alarm‘ and ‘Game Show‘, both are pretty catchy and a little different to their other albums.

Lianne La Havas

If you’re looking for some chilled beats I highly recommend Lianne La Havas – she has such a beautiful voice! Heres the link to her albums on Spotify.

Deftones

I’ve loved Deftones for a really long time but didn’t realise they released an album back in 2016, so I’ve been listening to that on repeat! Here’s a link to ‘Gore’ their album on Spotify.

Taylor Swift

Taylor has just recently released her newest album ‘Folklore‘ and I’m obsessed. I love ‘cardigan’ and ‘seven’! Here’s a link to her album on Spotify.

I’m currently on the look out for new things to watch, what are your favourite tv shows or documentaries on Netflix? Also would love to know some new bands/singers – I like rock/chill/acoustic kind of stuff. Let me know in the comments below.

Let’s get social. Follow me on Instagram or Twitter. I’m also on BloglovinPinterest and Youtube.

The umbrella academy has been ok, it’s a bit slow but I’m hoping it gets better as I’ve heard so many great things about it! x

There is something so comforting about rewatching old favourites, like The Holiday. I’ve been meaning to rewatch that movie for the last couple of weeks now. Such a bummer that Netflix India does not carry the show! Instead, I ended up rewatching How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and enjoyed it all over again!
