Wanderlusting: My UK Travel Bucket List

Travelling is good for the soul and since the whole Covid shebang I feel really anxious about flying abroad again.

Any who, the UK has some beautiful locations, perfect for weekends away or a short mid week break.

I’ve put together a bucket list of all the places I want to travel to in 2020 and in early 2021. Joe and I want to see one of these cities at least once a month.

We’ve booked to go to Cornwall, the Lake District and Dublin in August and September, but there is SO much more that I want to explore.

Without further a do, here’s my UK travel bucket list:

Bristol – there’s something magical about Bristol. I’ve had my eye on visiting there for quite some time.

Dublin – as mentioned above Joe and I are planning to visit Dublin at the end of September for our ten year anniversary. I’m so excited to go to the guinness factory and eat lots of delicious foods. A travel guide will be coming soon!

Manchester – I’ve always wanted to visit Manchester, there’s so much to do and I’m totally there for the night life!

The Lake District – I’ve been to the Lake District before, but only for a brief visit to take some photographs for a university project. I’m excited to be going again mid August. Bring on the cosy pubs, the hikes and some much needed chill time.

Liverpool – A city of creative types, music lovers, culture addicts and friendly faces. There’s lots of cool exhibitions that I’ve been meaning to check out!

Norwich – I’ve been to Norwich once before but didn’t really explore the city. I’d love to go back and check out the cute brunch places, the night life and see the cathedral.

Oxford – looks so pretty! I’d love to visit the university, the beautiful parks and the Artisan Distillery!

Cornwall – We’ve booked a weekend away to Cornwall at the beginning of August! I’m so excited to be near a beach and hopefully the weather is good too!

Pembrokeshire, Wales – Another beach destination that I’ve been meaning to check out is Pembrokeshire in Wales – it looks so beautiful.

Harrogate, Yorkshire – I’ve been wanting to go to Harrogate for years, I’ve always wanted to go to Bettys Café Tea Rooms and indulge in their afternoon tea. And also explore the beautiful cobbled streets and cute houses.

We went to Harrogate back in March – it was lovely, we didn’t manage to get into Betty’s though the queue was huge and we were too hungry to wait. There’s was loads of fab restaurants there – we were spoilt for choice being there for 3 days!

Liverpool, Edinburgh and Brighton are top of my wishlist. I’ve been to Brighton once but it was a hen do so didn’t get to explore and see the city in the way I’d like to!

How lovely! I’ve always wanted to go, it looks so pretty! Any restaurants you would recommend?

Edinburgh is amazing, so much to see/do there. And love Brighton too, although I haven’t been in years! x
