Oh my gosh, SO much has happened with my health in a short space of time. Where do I begin?!
At the end of February I was admitted to hospital for 3 days, and then since then I became really unwell as the months went on.
I was REALLLLY pale, lethargic and I felt dizzy when I stood up for more than a couple of minutes. I was sick most days, had a terrible cough (which I still have) and I would nap A LOT. I’d also lost 2 stone from all the sickness since February.
So, I got admitted to hospital end of April once again. I spent almost 2 weeks in hospital, I had two blood transfusions and then an endless amounts of blood tests, x-rays, MRI scan, CT scan, and was tested for Covid too – my gosh its so painful when they go up the nose. But yes anyways, they finally came to the conclusion that I have chronic inflammation and the endometrioma cyst on my right ovary is infected.
I’ve known about the cyst for a while (not being infected though) and it does worry me that I need a big operation to remove it as it’s about the size of an avocado, and then all the endometriosis tissue needs removing too which is stuck to my bowel and urethra.
The NHS won’t operate on me till 2-3 months time when this pandemic has died down a little. So, I’m a little bit worried about the cyst twisting and causing more damage to my ovary. If it causes me any pain, I need to go back to A&E again.
In other news, I sadly got made redundant, the company I worked for went into administration but got bought out. I thought my job was safe, then they did a last minute re-structure and let me go. But, to be honest its kind of come at a good time, I need a break to focus on my health and get better.
So yeah, that’s my little life update, hope everyone is well and staying safe! I know how awful this time is, quite draining actually. Also if anyone wants to read my endometriosis story, I’ll link it here.
Let’s get social. Follow me on Instagram or Twitter. I’m also on Bloglovin, Pinterest and Youtube.
Sorry to hear you were made redundant Zoey, these are trying times for everyone, so just hold in there and as you say focus on your health, which is the most important thing. I had a big cyst removed from my ovaries couple years ago and the operation was painless and I recovered quickly, although I didn’t have exactly the same condition as you but wish you loads of strength and speedy recovery!

Thanks Anna :). Aw, glad you recovered quickly. I’ve had endometriosis cysts in the same place before and had them removed over the years, as well as the endometriosis and it took me 2-3 weeks to recover from the operation. The dr said this will be a big op this time round as there is so much endometriosis tissue, the cyst and what not to remove. xx
Lots of love to you, Zoey. What a tough time you are dealing with right now. Thinking of you and sending lots of love. You are strong and you will come out of this even stronger.
