I’ve finally found a skincare routine that works for me! Whilst I love to try other brands, I’ve found myself going back to basics with a hot cloth cleanser, retinol toners and some other great skincare buys!
Let’s start with the award winning Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser – I’ve stripped my skincare routine back down to only using the Hot Cloth Cleanser once a day – at night time.
My skin type is combination and I find this cleanser balances out my skin, makes it baby soft and adds moisture.
To tone, I alternate between Apha-H Liquid Gold and Pixi’s Retinol Tonic. Both great toners to balance out my skin. Liquid Gold is a bit more of a treatment toner – I feel like it re-surfaces the skin and works wonders over night.
Then I moisturise with Liz Earle’s Skin Repair for Normal/Combination skin. A gorgeous moisturiser that soften’s, smooth’s and conditions my skin. It hydrates without the oiliness and leaves my face looking healthy and glowy.
It’s light yet rich in naturally active skin-nourishing ingredients, including borage oil (a rich source of the essential fatty acid GLA), echinacea, hops, avocado oil and the natural source vitamin E.
As well as a face moisturiser, I use Antipodes kiwi seed oil eye cream. A luxuriously light eye treatment which cools and soothes tired eyes.
The eye cream is infused with ultra-rich concentrations of Vitamin C derived from New Zealand Kiwi Fruit Seed.
Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream helps to rescue damaged tissue around the eye contour.
After I’ve rubbed both moisturisers in, I then use my rose quartz roller.
A new beauty tool that I’ve fallen in love with. Only £16 from Amazon too.
The rose quartz roller is known for its healing properties that relax the nervous system and aid in removing toxins. This one especially is a rose quartz tool that is designed for slimming healing, rejuvenation and beauty.
I also use my Environ CIT Cosmetic Roller twice a week after I cleanse. More on skin needling and why I’m obsessed with it here.
To finish off my skincare routine, I scrub my lips with Lush’s Honey lip scrub, it smells amazing!
Last but by no means least, I’m on the hunt for a serum! If you’ve got any recommendations please leave them below. I’ve previously tried Estee Lauder’s Advanced night serum and Caudalie’s Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. Both great serums, however, I’m looking for one to help with breakout scars.
Let’s get social. Follow me on Instagram or Twitter. I’m also on Bloglovin‘, Pinterest and Youtube.
How amazing is skin needling? I have only done it for two weeks now, and cannot believe I didn’t introduce it to my routine sooner. I am still in the market for a good eye cream, so I will be sure to check out your favourite.
