I recently purchased a Rose Quartz roller after seeing the hype about them from some of my favourite bloggers.
Hells yes I want to roller my face in style with a beautiful rose quartz roller. Totally jumping on the bandwagon. Only £16 from Amazon too.
But are they just a trend?
What is a rose quartz (jade) roller you may ask? Well it’s a little gadget for your face. A facial massage tool that you use daily and can be used warm or cold.
It’s known for its healing properties that relax the nervous system and aid in removing toxins. This one especially is a rose quartz tool that is designed for slimming healing, rejuvenation and beauty.
Also, rose quartz can counteract and drive away negative energy, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
As well a multi-functional massage tool: the jade roller is great to relieve headaches and reduce pressure.
After daily use, your skin will feel tighter and more rejuvenated.
How to use? It’s easy! The facial roller has a double ended roller to accommodate different areas: The large one is great for neck, face and arms and the smaller one is great for the eye area.
Simply cleanse your skin, apply a face oil or serum to your face and roll away! The perfect mini facial at home!
Now, let’s talk Skin Needling – one of the best tools for beauty on the market today!
Skin needling sounds a bit terrifying doesn’t it? The word ‘needling’ makes me quiver a little bit – needles sticking into your face, gross. It kind of sounds like something someone would do to you in some sort of horror film.
That being said, I’m obsessed with skin needling and it’s not as scary as you may think!
Four years ago I was introduced to a brand called Environ. A South African brand that focuses on the important of vitamin A, developed by a plastic surgeon named Dr Des Fernandes.
Environ have a product named ‘Cosmetic Roll CIT’. A skin needling tool that you can use at home. They also have a gold plated version, which I would love to own but my credit card sadly says no.
The Cosmetic Roll CIT was designed to dramatically increase the effectiveness of Environ skincare products by allowing essential vitamins into deeper layers of the skin. This means that by using this tool you will achieve results much quicker.
I no longer use Environ’s products (bar the roller and face mask), however I pair the cosmetic roller with Liz Earle’s moisturiser, Alpha-H’s Liquid Gold and sometimes Environ’s Revival Masque and I get just as great results.

The needling tool helps to enhance penetration of active ingredients into the epidermis, soften lines and wrinkles, tighten the skin, reduce the appearance of scarring and pigmentation marks and encourage disappearance of dilated blood vessels.
The first time I experienced skin needling I was wowed by the results – the morning after, my skin looked almost brand new, fresh, glowy and my pimple scars were dramatically reduced. Not only this, but my make-up looked so smooth and flawless too.
I was religiously doing it once a week for weeks and then I put it a cupboard in my bathroom and it slipped out of the back of my mind for months…
This January I started skin needling again – I’ve been doing it once a week.
My skin has improved dramatically the past month or so. My skin feels and looks the best it’s ever looked. It looks tighter, has reduced the appearance of acne scarring and has softened those pesky lines under my eyes.
You may be wondering… does skin needling hurt? Nope, I can assure you it doesn’t. However, if you’re rolling on the same section for about three to five minutes, it starts to feel slightly uncomfortable, so stop and move on to another section.
One thing I did notice was that it bloody stings when you pair it with Alpha-H Liquid Gold. But the results are worth it!
Skin needling is hands down one of the best beauty inventions out there on the market today. The results are incredible and it’s great that you can do it in the comfort of your own home.

I really enjoy skin needling. I see results a lot quicke but I think its important that people do their research cause paired with the wrong ingredients can be damaging for the skin.

I agree! You definitely need to be using the right products for your skin. I used to use Environ, but it’s expensive as hell, so I pair with a much more affordable option like Liz Earle.
