Today I’m coming at ya with a ‘where to eat in London’ styled post – I haven’t done one of these in ages!
T’was my birthday on Halloween, so my husband Joe spoiled me, and took me to Maitre Choux for some incredible eclair’s. He also took me to Hawksmoor for dinner – what a treat!
I’ve been meaning to go to both for yonks, so I’m glad to say I’ve ticked both off the list.
Maitre Choux
I’ve seen Maitre Choux all over Instagram and I’ve been wanting to go for so long.
The rose water unicorn eclair, the milk chocolate hazelnut and the salted caramel were all incredible. Just look at how beautiful they are – almost too good to eat!
I also love the design of the place, lots of marble and bright coloured shapes – right up my design street.
So happy we discovered this cute dessert shop and dying to come back and try some more interesting flavours.
Hawksmoor
We came here when they had a special event on for ‘London Resturant Festival month‘ where you get 3 courses and a cocktail for £30 each – such a good deal.
I had potted beef with yorkshires to start, rump with triple cooked chips for main, and then a peanut butter shortbread cake for dessert. It was delicious! They also wrote ‘happy birthday’ on the plate which was really lovely of them.
Would I come again? Yes yes yes! The steaks were amazing – so juicy and tender. I wasn’t really a fan of my starter, however it was tasty and did eat it all. And, the dessert was divine. Highly recommend any steak lovers to come here.
