The Products I Swear By

I’ve been struggling to find a moment to write with my 9 month old baby, however, Joe has taken Alessia out for the afternoon, so I have a rare few hours to myself. Bliss.

Anyway, to ease back into things, I thought I would share some content I wrote on substack a little while ago. But completely forgot to share on my blog too.

Here goes…

I’ve been writing beauty content on the internet for the past eleven years.

I’m in my late thirties and I’ve aged well, or so I like to think. Although the sleep deprivation since becoming a new mum has been making my under-eye wrinkles a little more noticeable, damn it. I suppose I can’t look young forever!

Anyway, I’m not into fillers or the botox malarky (yet…), but I do love products that make your skin look glowy, fresh and keep you looking twenty two for as long as possible.

I wanted to have a natter about ‘The Products I Swear By’, the Crème de la crème of beauty products, a round up of my favourites.

Starting with skin-care and one of my fave brands, Sunday Riley (IYKYK).

I ADORE everything Sunday Riley. But my favourite products are from their vitamin C range. The ‘C.E.O’ collection.

Annoyingly the serum and moisturiser are always blooming sold out these days. But, they are the best of the best.

Also, I have nothing but great things to say about ‘Good Genes’.

Moving swiftly on to K beauty brands.

K beauty has taken the world by storm and I love that.

I’ve tried some amazing K beauty brands over the years. The likes of Then I Met You, Erborian, Laneige and Soko Glam to name a few great ones.

The ‘Then I Met You’ range is hands down amazing. You can’t fault the cleansing balm, milk toner or their moisturisers.

Erborian is also up there with being on my list of ‘incredible skin care brands’. The cleansing oil and CC cremes are fabulous and will always be on my bathroom shelf!

A brand that I used through-out pregnancy was ESPA.

A safe skincare brand to use if you’re pregnant or breast-feeding.

I think ESPA is a little under-rated. They sell an incredible set of products.

My personal favourites are Skin Polish and their Optimal Skin Pro-Cleanser.

Some beauty tools that I LOVE are of course the SHARK led mask, and you can’t beat a gua sha.

The Face Gym gua sha is great for de-puffing and making you look more ‘toned’ in the face.

I’ve only been using the SHARK led mask since Christmas, but I have been using it religiously.

Just 6-8 minutes of ‘me-time’ every evening. Although, my daughter does give me a funny look when I wear this. I hope I’m not traumatizing her!

And lastly I’ll have a little natter about some make-up items that always get re-stocked in my make-up bag.

Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation and Estee Lauder’s Double Wear are my go to foundations. Although both brands have changed the formulations of these recently, so I’m yet to see if they still are amazing.

I have been using these foundations for what seems like a life-time. I’ve possibly been wearing Double Wear for 16 years and Armani’s for around 10-11 years.

I rarely mix up my foundations because if something works well for me, then why change it? I do love experimenting with different brands, but more-so with lipsticks and blusher’s.

I also really love the brand VIEVE. I haven’t actually taken any pictures of the products I have, but the ones I’ve tried are bloody amazing. Skin Nova under foundation makes your skin super glowy. And the cream blushers are a lovely formula.

I would say VIEVE products are a new addition in my make-up bag since late 2025. But, I will be re-purchasing as they are so so good.

Some lippy’s and eye-liners that I use on the regular are Victoria Beckham, Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury. I used to use MAC back in the day, but less so these days.

I also wear a lot of lip-balms and lip-glosses. My favourites are Summer Fridays (no surprises there) and Fresh. I do like Laneige lip products as well.

Well, this was rather fun to type up! I might do a hair care related one at some point too. But I’m more of a skin-care and make-up junkie deep down.

On another note, I have tons and tons of content to share. Things I wanted to chat about from last year, such as holidays, beauty content and all sorts really.

However, it’s so hard to find any time for yourself when you have a baby literally attached to you 24/7 as well as trying to stay on top of exercising, eating well, sleeping well, seeing friends and family and trying to keep on top of the house too. I’m trying my best to stay afloat at the moment.
