Beauty And Lifestyle Favourites of 2024

Happy New Year you lovely lot! For my very first post of 2025 I’m going to be chatting about my beauty and lifestyle favourites of 2024, as I do every year!

Some of these favourites will be no surprise to some of you, that’s if you read my blog often. Also, I haven’t been that experimental with my skincare and make-up this year, so you’ll find lots of old classics in this 2024 faves line-up.

Best perfume: Jo Malone’s Pomegranate Noir & Tom Ford Noir
Best shampoo and conditioner: L’oreal Elvive, Redken
Best dry shampoo: Living Proof
Best hair oil/serum: Kérastase Elixir Ultime L’Original Oil & Charlotte Mensah products
Best shower gel: Dove
Best handsoap & hand cream: Bramley
Best hair treatment: Olaplex No.3 and L’oreal’s Wonder Water
Best deodorant: WILD

Best beauty brand of 2024:

It’s between ESPA and Victoria Beckham as those are the brands I’ve used most this year. I’ve discovered so many amazing skin-care products from ESPA and they are safe to use during pregnancy. As well as Victoria Beckham’s make-up being an amazing brand that I’ve also discovered this year.

Best beauty product of 2024:

It’s really hard to choose one stand-out beauty product, but mine this year has to be… ESPA’s Skin Polish.

Favourite countries visited: Rome, Wales & Greece
Favourite London discoveries: I didn’t head into London much in 2024, however, I did enjoy afternoon tea at The Langham with my mum and going to Wimbledon semi-finals
Favourite TV series: Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, One Day
Favourite documentaries: Planets on BBC iPlayer
Favourite albums: Billie Eillish Hit Me Hard and Soft, Loyle Carter Not Waving, But Drowning
Favourite books: ACOTAR series
Favourite films released in 2024: It Ends With Us
Favourite films re-discovered this year: Dune & Dune 2
Favourite restaurants in London/Hertfordshire visited in 2024: Sandwich Sandwich, Flourish Bakery
Favourite sweet/dessert places in London/Hertfordshire visited in 2024: Flourish Bakery, GAILS, Humble Crumble, The Pudding Stop
Favourite Afternoon Tea in London: The Lanesborough, Sketch
Favourite place for Brunch visited in 2024: Plates, Flourish Bakery, HERE, Seasons Cafe
Favourite Cocktail Bar in London visited in 2024: Purl but haven’t drank that much this year
Favourite local coffee shops: Fred & Ginger, Ocean Bells and Viento

Favourite exhibitions: Didn’t see any this year
Favourite staycation in the UK: Cotswolds Air bnb & Wales Air bnb
Best Hot Chocolate in 2024: Knoops
Favourite life-changing product: Dyson Hairdryer
Favourite candle: Anything Diptyque

Best Moments of 2024: 

The best moments were more towards the end of the year, and usually when I’m traveling around, including an incredible trip to Rome. And a lovely staycation in Wales for a week.

I will definitely be back to Wales – it’s such a beautiful place and only a couple of hours away. I very much enjoyed the variety of walks and hikes.

Rome was equally as beautiful, as was the food!

I did enjoy our all inclusive holiday to Greece too. I’m craving a gyros right now!

We don’t usually do relaxing holidays, so it made a nice change, although we were getting a bit restless by day five.

The pregnancy news was of course a major highlight. After wanting this for such a long time! Baby is due in early July and we’re very excited. Looking forward to buying baby outfits and all the essentials and decorating the nursery soon.

2024 was all about getting back into good health and enjoying a fitness routine with running and going to the gym regularly. Although when I found out about the pregnancy, I stopped running and focused on chilling. Now that I’m in the second trimester, I’m going to the gym again and have upped my steps. I can’t wait to start running again, but I’m going to wait until after the birth as I push myself too hard on runs where my heart-rate goes to 170 and above.

Any who, I’m going to leave that there. I’m super excited for 2025!
