The Best Muscle Pain Relief Beauty Products

I have an extremely sore neck and back which I used to get physio for and had fortnightly massages to ease the pains for about a year. As well as the odd session of acupuncture here and there too.

Any who, I’ve been trying to save money this year as massage costs do add up! I stumbled across these muscle pain relief beauty products last year, which have been really helping ease any pains I have and wanted to share incase anyone else is suffering with aches and pains.

Before I natter on about the products I have found incredible, there is one product not pictured, however, when I had this amazing massage at The Grove a while ago, the beauty therapist used Bamford’s arnica balm on my neck. That stuff is incredibly powerful and did wonders for me. I felt like a brand new woman after that massage. I really need the balm in my life but I need to make my way through what I have first.

So, the following best products I’ve found to ease muscle tension are:

ELEMIS Instant Refreshing Gel

This may be my favourite of the bunch. It’s a super cooling gel that makes you tingle slightly but it really does works wonders and loosens any tension, pains and aches I have in my neck and back.

It’s formulated with Arnica, Birch and Witch Hazel with the cooling powers of Camphor and Menthol. The gel is suitable for use during pregnancy too.

ESPA Muscle Rescue Balm

I’ve really been enjoying ESPA products the past couple of years. In fact it’s all I’ve been using for my skin-care at the moment – which I really need to chat about at some point soon.

Anyway, this formulation is made with Refreshing Peppermint and Eucalyptus and warming Clove Bud. It has a strong smell, but I love it anyway. And, in contrast to the Elemis one, this one has a warming effect on the muscles and is really lovely to use.

Aromatherapy Associates De-stress Muscle Gel

This is another favourite of mine, it relieves pains and tension immediately. And it smells heavenly, as all Aromatherapy Associates products do – especially their bath oils.

The de-stress muscle gel is made with Rosemary, Black Pepper, Lavender and Ginger essential oils. It instantly cools and warms aches and pains while hydrating and softening the skin. I adore the lavender scent in this product, it’s very calming and takes away any stress I’m feeling within minutes.

Other great muscle pain relieving products:

I have a heated neck pillow that I heat up in the microwave for two minutes – you can find these relatively cheap on Amazon. My one smells of lavender and I tend to use this for around 5-10 minutes before applying one of the above gels.

Stretching and yoga is great for relieving any tension I may have too.
