We’re soon to be approaching Scorpio Season and I’m very excited because my birthday is on Halloween! Well, truth be told I’m already excited as it turned briskly cold in September and cosy season has begun!
Candles are being lit at every opportunity, I’m refusing to change out of my lounge-wear and enjoying curling up binge-reading ‘A court of Wings and Ruin’. ALSO, GBBO is back! Which makes my heart so happy.

Rewinding back a few months to show my highlights through-out July, August and September.

Some major highlights in July included traveling to Wimbledon to watch the Semi-finals day and enjoying a lovely solo spa day at The Grove. As well as this Joe and I had a little lunch date at The Grove and ate all you can eat at The Glasshouse.

I’ve also been keeping up with running twice or three times a week and going to the gym regularly – I feel like these two things have really helped me this year when my mind has been a little foggy. I’ve started to do longer runs such as a 6k or 8k and my aim is to master a 10k by the end of the year.

Anyway, I really want to book another spa day, maybe in the Winter I’ll treat myself again.
Joe and I have been on two holidays since our last joyful moments catch up. We adventured around Wales in late July with our Archie. And, Rome in mid September. A sort-of early anniversary celebrations for being together for 14 years!

Both holidays were lovely. Both very active with lots to see and do. I’m craving another holiday already!

And, speaking of anniversaries, we went to our local Indian for a lovely meal on the actual date.

Moving swiftly on, in early September we went to Forwards music festival with a bunch of friends. Not really my kind of music, but I joined in to have a good time and actually I discovered that I really liked Loyle Carner, who was head-lining one of the days. Got blooming soaked the second day of the festival but it didn’t stop us from dancing!
We also ended up going to this amazing Mexican restaurant/bar on the Friday night in Bristol and Joe and I had the most delicious cauliflower burrito – we are still day-dreaming about it… OH, and also finally tried Sandwich Sandwich, which was great.

We had a foodie weekend a few weeks back where Joe made home-made pizzas and we popped to Harpenden for a mooch around. Stopped by Brad & Dills for a bagel treat.

Also had a solo day out in one of my favourite towns, brunched at HERE, walked along the canal and treated myself to get my nails done! Was also craving a cherry and chocolate scone from GAILS, so popped in there too.

Had a delish family roast dinner at The Highwayman on another occasion.

Joe and I have to rave about this spaghetti recipe in a vegan cook-book that we made. Took blooming ages to make but oh my, it was one of the BEST Italian dishes we’ve ever made. The tomato sauce was next level.

Other delicious foods we’ve enjoyed have been out at local cafes and bakeries. As well as a Taylor Swift Doughnut Time box and home-made pulled mushroom fajitas.

October is going to be fairly busy as it usually is. I’m going to a gothic wedding on my birthday. It’s my mum’s birthday soon too, so, we are having a girly afternoon tea day out tomorrow. Joe and I are also potentially flying to Madrid last minute in mid October.
Not really sure what to do for my birthday this year, I’m having a family brunch thing the weekend of, but that’s all that’s planned in so far. It might be nice to have a London day out or a mini break somewhere in the UK. We shall see. I’m sure I’ll write all about it all in my next catch up!
Ooh we keep meaning to visit The Grove! Firmly on our list now (:

The Grove is so good, such big grounds with so many restaurants and the spa days there are divine. I also forgot we were supposed to catch up in person but I remember being unwell, we should do that at some point! xx
Hope you have a FUN birthday! 🎂🥳
Ohh love tennis. I really want to go back to one of those big tournaments and watch them live. It’s the coolest experience ever!

I am in desperate need of a good foodie weekend! I’m a carpet cleaner and have been working like crazy these last few months but things are finally starting to cool off and slow down for the season. Has been rather fun! Yeah, I love having my birthday on Halloween! Although I never dress up anymore. Think I overdid it in my twenties. xx
A Halloween birthday is SO lucky!! Also love the at-home pizzas because that’s one of my favorite weeknight dinners. Joe’s look way better than mine, though. Happy early birthday 🙂
