I really enjoy doing ‘brand focus’ posts, so, today I’m coming at ya with the well-known beauty high street brand L’oreal. A focus on their hair-care.
I bought these products back at the end of December on ASOS as they were all discounted. I’ve well and truly trialled and tested them as it’s now end of March. I even purchased Dream Lengths 8 Second Wonder Water a couple more times since then as I think that is one of my favourite hair-care products from this selection.
I got a few products from the Elvive Dream Lengths collection and the Elvive Extraordinary Oil collection, oh and one Elvive Colour Protect set. I wanted to try a few different options.
So, my hair type is now wavy/curly. It’s been like that since re-growth when I lost the majority of my hair a few years ago. It also grew back thicker. Before it used to be straight, and a little wavy. It also gets tangled quite a bit, I never used to have this problem, but now I sadly do. Anyway, these products have been incredible for my hair the past 3-4 months!
So, what products stand out to me?
The 8 Second Wonder Water’s. These are amazing – they are like a clear-water-like deep conditioner! They have been de-tangling my hair every time I wash it, getting rid of annoying knots and tangles. These also make my hair super shiny and soft!
Another stand out product to me is L’Oreal’s Elvive Extraordinary Oil Sublime Detangle Leave-in Spray. I use this after I come out of the shower, it smells amazing and again de-tangles my hair even more.
And lastly another fave that I just had to mention is the Elvive Extraordinary Oil Coconut Hair Mask. Out of the two masks I bought this one is my favourite. I think it’s because it smells of coconut and that’s one of my favourite scents. It also deeply nourishes my hair.

L’oreal is an amazing affordable high-street brand that some often forget about, because there are so many amazing hair-care brands out there! Honestly, sometimes the cheaper products perform better than high-end brands!
L’oreal has tons of hair-care products, which can be quite overwhelming on what to purchase. All of these are all great to try out for yourself, especially the wonder waters!
I’d love to try their Elvive Bond Repair collection too some day. As well as their Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic collection.

I didn’t realise I had Philippines readers – this makes me so happy! It’s amazing the connections you make through blogging and I love it when people like yourself take the time to comment and say where you’re from. Haha sorry, went off on one there! That’s great to hear, L’oreal is such a great affordable brand. And would LOVE to visit the Philippines one day. xx
I’ve only ever tried maybe a couple of their products, but didn’t like it too much. My hair gets greasy very fast, so maybe I just used the wrong type of shampoo. Those products sound promising though!

Ah right, that’s a shame, but good to hear your thoughts. I only wash my hair twice a week and don’t find they get my hair greasy. Give these a try :). xx
Because L’Oreal own Kérastase, I tend to like their products as they’re quite similar. I love the Wonder Waters and the new Pre-Wash Bonding Treatment x
