IF you read my October Thoughts post or follow my Instagram stories, you may know that I went ahead and booked Iceland!
I’m so excited to FINALLY go on my dream holiday! It’s seriously the holiday of a life-time! Friends have asked if i will share an itinerary after I go and of course I will – I’ll do a write up on my blog!
Anyway, another year older (almost!), another year wiser as they say. The BIG 3’s, thirty three – can I say I’m in my mid-thirties now?
It’s been a really good year to be honest, some downs, but mostly up’s.
At the start of the year, I went in a different direction with my career doing something new, I trained hard and I seriously LOVE it. I put quite a bit of pressure on myself to achieve so much but I feel like I’m finally happy in the direction I’ve gone in. I’d quite like to become an expert in my field or at a Senior level. Or be a Lead. Who know’s? Taking life as it comes.
Other than job news, this year, I’ve been on a few hen do’s, one in Liverpool and one in Oxford. Attended a couple of weddings. Travelled around South of France (and a bit of Spain) with Joe’s uni friends and partners. Can’t forget Joe and I travelled to Cornwall with Archie in January and also had a few cheeky spa days at Champneys.
I had my stoma reversed at the end of April! That is probably a big highlight for me. Getting life back to the way it was, just with a few additional scars.
There has been some downs too. Constant weight gain, infertility and having to go down the DEIVF route, well we haven’t even started the process yet. Need a match first! Insomnia struggles, grief, worried about the cost of living crisis and other health battles.
HOWEVER, generally speaking, my year of the ripe old age of 32 hasn’t been too shabby. I’m excited for my thirty third year on this planet. Got lots of plans for next year, including Iceland!
I’m dining at the oh so very cool Sketch on Halloween (my birthday). Ya girl’s celebrating in style as always. I haven’t been to Sketch since mine and Joe’s five year anniversary (when we started going out, not our wedding anniversary), so yeah pretty darn excited!
