I’m doing my bit to help the environment – these are the swaps I’ve made. I’m by no means perfect but I’m learning more about sustainable living and recycling every day.
Here are 12 Sustainable Swaps you could do in 2022 and beyond…
Cruelty Free & Vegan Make-up Brands – I’m still learning about cruelty free and vegan make-up brands. But I make the conscious effort in making sure what I buy is cruelty free. There are so many great brands out there including UpCircle Beauty!
Recyclable/Upcycled Furni – We bought our dining table and cabinet from a sustainable company that uses recyclable woods and they plant a tree for every item bought which is a nice touch.
Period Pants – This is a new one to me, although I know they’ve been around for a while. But I made the switch this year and it’s game-changing! In fact I need to order some more pairs. I just ordered them from AMAZON – there are loads to chose from on there.
Reuse-able Cotton Pads – I need to cut down on using cotton pads and start using my reuse-able ones more! Make the switch today!
Chilly’s Water Bottle – I got on the hype with this one and bought a Chilly’s Water Bottle two years ago and still use it. It’s great for keeping your water ice cold. Expensive but worth the hype! I also have a personalised reuse-able Starbucks Cup which I pretty much use every day since I bought it from Etsy.
Reuse-able Coffee Cup – This is something I need to work on this year, remember to bring my reuse-able coffee cup with me!
Metal Straws – We know that plastic straws are damaging to our planet and animals, so make the switch to metal straws. You can buy a pack on AMAZON for a reasonable price.
Reuse-able carrier bags are a a given right? Stop buying plastic and get yourself a nice sturdy reuse-able carrier bag. Eleanor Bowmer has some really nice fun designs.
Oat Milk – Make the switch to oat milk, your skin will love you! And it’s great for the environment too. DOUBLE WIN.
Reuse-able Deodorant – WILD is a great brand that goes reuse-able deodorants in lots of lovely scents, and they last ages too.
Eat Vegan or Veggie – Do what works for you! Cut down on meat, go fully plant based or be veggie. It all helps the environment.
