I had seen this deep conditioning hair mask all over the internet, raving reviews from influencers, so, I thought I’d try it as my trusty Olaplex No.3 had ran out.
My hair started falling out last June and I have been trying anything to get it back to how it was. Olaplex No.3 and supplements have been doing wonders for my hair and I had heard that the Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer helps grow your hair back, so I thought it was worth a try!
Firstly, let’s discuss the packaging. The deep conditioning treatment comes in a white tub with silver embossed writing on. It’s pink and white, very girly. It’s easy to open and you scoop the hair mask out with your fingers!
The treatment itself is to be used on damp hair and left for 20 minutes or longer, once a week. I usually leave mine on for about an hour, then I follow on by shampooing and conditioning.
After trialling it for about six weeks, it’s hard to say whether it’s working, however I do notice my hair is thicker every time I use it. I’ve purchased a second tub and will continue to use once a week and I will update this post once I’ve trialled for a few more months.
Is it worth the hype? Only time will tell. But so far I’m happy with how voluminous my once brittle and thin hair looked.
It retails from £19.00, so it’s definitely worth buying if you’re after a great hair mask and are suffering from hair loss or damaged hair.
Let’s get social. Follow me on Instagram or Twitter. I’m also on Bloglovin, Pinterest and Youtube.
Seems very interesting and good. I am glad it worked for you. I will buy it soon. It is looking like the hype is real. Thanks for sharing your views.

It’s great, let me know if you do pick it up lovely. I used an influencer’s discount code: LEAH15 and got 15% off. x
I really like it. I’m not sure if I prefer it to Olaplex, it’s hard to choose, but it’s very good value x

It’s so so good. Although it takes time to really work it’s magic. x

It’s great – although it takes time to work its magic! Ahh amazing, best of luck with your wedding. The amount of beauty products I tried for my wedding was insane haha. x
I haven’t seen the proselytized magical effects of Olaplex No3 (I do really like No6, though), so I’m definitely considering buying this after my current bottle runs out.
Can I also ask which shade of Nars concealer you use? You’re the closest match to my own skin that I’ve seen in a blogger (Double Wear 1C1 in summer and 1C0 in winter) and I’m stuck between Vanilla, Chantilly and Affogato (which I think is a new shade?), but wary of purchasing any without being able to sample in-store at the moment! xx

It’s great but takes time to work it’s magic. That’s a shame you didn’t get on with Olaplex No.3, it’s done wonders for growing my hair back.
I wear Vanilla in NARS creamy concealer, although I just cover my spots with it. I don’t use under the eyes or anything! It matches 1c1 cool bone double wear perfectly, as I use that too. x
Thanks so much! I’ve heard so much about the effects of Olaplex from the first wash etc. that maybe I haven’t stuck at it enough to see the effect on own hair.
What do you recommended for under eyes? xx

I’ve been using it for a good couple of months, I’ve gone through 3-4 supersize bottles. It’s worth sticking with it. Although, I’m not sure which is better – Olaplex or PK’s Elasticizer.
I don’t use anything for my under eyes, so I can’t really recommend anything, sorry. Although I’ve heard people use NARS creamy concealer under their eyes and they love it. x
