First and foremost happy new year everyone! I’m rather excited as we enter a new decade. The big 2020.
2019 was the year of self love, kindness and happiness. And it was exactly that! 2019 was the year I slowed down and made sure I was taking care of myself, whether that was having a pamper night every week or generally putting myself first.
As it’s the new year, I’ve set some goals for this year. As you do. Some are small goals and some are going to take a bit of time.
To lose weight – get back down to a 10.
I’ve over indulged over the holidays, (as you do… blaming the mince pies and mahoosive dinners) I’m a comfortable size 12, however I want to get back down to a 10. I’ve been trying for a while but my weight just isn’t shifting.
I need to find an exercise routine that works for me too – maybe I’ll join an exercise class or re-join a gym. It’s just hard to fit in the time now that I’m working in London. Also, I’m going to try and do 10,000 steps a day!
Reach 1000k on bloglovin.
I’m currently just over half way (564 followers), but this year I’d really like to reach 1000k.
To be more sustainable.
2020 is the year I’m going to try and be more sustainable. I need to buy a reusable cup, try my upmost to buy sustainable clothing and to recycle more (we recycle anyway, but we could do it a bit more).
Go on holiday a few times.
We didn’t travel much in 2019, we went to Edinburgh, Sweden/Copenhagen and Thailand. However, they were all equally special. This year I’d love to have a weekend away in the Cotswolds, and then maybe visit Orlando or Iceland. I’m also considering a mini break to Rome or Morocco too.
Decorate the living room.
In the new year, Joe and I are going to tackle our living room next in the house. It needs a fresh coat of paint (we’re thinking of painting it grey) and perhaps a new carpet or wooden flooring, we shall see!
What are your goals for the new year?

Oh my goodness, I love these ideas! I joined Orangetheory this past year and it really helped me not only lose weight but helped me get more comfortable in my own skin! If there is one in your area I highly recommend trying it! I also tried taking a new kind of fitness class once a month.
My goals this year is to cut down on my plastic consumption through all my purchases. I also want to be more up to date on current news.

I’ve never heard of Orangetheory, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!
Great goals, hope you achieve them! Cutting down on plastic is something I’m trying to do too. Z x
I love these goals. I’m definitely going to make more of a conscious effort to be more sustainable this year. I try really hard to recycle textiles a lot more now than I ever used to, and even books a lot more and electronics! Oh my god Iceland is literally the best place in the entire world! Definitely a must go visit, but go March time as that’s the best to see Northern Lights! xx

Great to hear you’re trying to be more sustainable!
Iceland looks so beautiful! I was thinking of maybe going May/June depending on circumstances. I’d love to see the Northern lights, so hoping they will be on show around Spring/Summer.

The plans for the next year should be as productive as possible. This applies not only to housework, but also the leisure and other entertainment
