4 Red Lipsticks For Fair Skin

As Christmas is vast approaching, the red lippy’s come out to play. I’ve picked out four reds that would suit my fellow fair skinned ladies.

So without further a do…

Charlotte Tilbury’s Red Carpet Red

Red Carpet Red is part of the Matte Revolution collection. This lippy is a gorgeous deep red which actually reminds me of the 1950’s film star shade, something Marilyn Monroe would wear.

The formula is incredibly smooth and lovely to apply. And, for a matte, it’s not drying at all. The longevity isn’t outstanding or anything, but it does last up to five hours before I need to touch up which is pretty darn good.

MAC’s Lady Danger

If you’re feeling an orangey-red, I’d recommend Lady Danger for the cooler skin tones. It’s the most lovely orange toned red. It’s matte (but doesn’t feel matte), really pigmented and long lasting. It’s the one that will brighten your day and complexion.

Left to right: Ruby Woo, Brick O La, Lady Danger and CT’s Red Carpet Red.

MAC’s Brick-o-la

Brick-o-la is described as a “mid-tone berry” but I would say it’s more of a ‘nude red’. The one lippy you’d wear as an every day without being ‘too much of a red’.

This lippy is perfect for us fair skinned ladies. Although, I would say it would suit medium skin tones too. It’s great because it’s not as bright as some of the others, just a subtle hint of red and you’re good to go.

MAC’s Ruby Woo

Ruby Woo is a classic that you must have in your collection.

It’s a gorgeous matte blue-red formula.  Looks absolutely stunning on the lips, however can be a bit drying – need to apply with a lip balm first.
Also, whenever I wear this it makes my teeth whiter and my complexion appear brighter! Love, love, LOVE! The perfect ultimate red for us fair skinned ladies.

Can’t believe I’ve not heard of red carpet red! It’s such a gorgeous shade. I need to put Ruby Woo and Russian Red next to eachother to see the difference, as they both just look so similar. I think Russian Red may be a little blue-er toned! xx

I really like Brick-o-La! I also like NARS Dragon Girl as it’s a pink-red so I feel more confident in wearing it during the day time. xo
