Because I’m all about that base, all about that base, no trouble. Yes… I have that annoying song stuck in my head!
So, let’s talk foundations shall we?
If you’re a long time reader, you will know that I’ve been constantly singing my praises to Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation. I’ve loved it for YEARS!
However a new (not so new to you, but to me) foundation came on the scene, and that is NARS’ Sheer Glow foundation. It’s the one I’ve been reaching for in the past couple of months.
And let’s not forget a foundation that has a special place in my heart. The gorgeous Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation that I wore on my wedding day.
NARS Sheer Glow in the shade Light 2 Mont Blanc. My holy grail at the mo. It gives my skin a natural satin glowy finish. Almost feels like I haven’t got a lot of foundation on my skin. Super light-weight on the skin.
NARS Sheer glow comes in 34 shades (yes 34!), with shades to suit pale and dark skin tones. Want my full review on Sheer Glow, click here.
Estee Lauder’s Double Wear in the shade 1c1 Cool Bone. I’ve used double wear for about ten years. It’s the creme de la creme of all foundations.
The coverage is amazing – it’s medium to heavy. And, a little really does go a long way! I love the finish – it looks so smooth and flawless on the skin. Lastly, it’s the perfect colour match for my alabaster/fair skin. Read my full review here.
And, last but by no means least is my wedding day foundation! Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in the shade 2.
It gives your skin that beautiful natural glow and is light weight on the skin.
So, if you’re in the market for a new weightless natural foundation, I’d highly recommend trying this one.
As these foundations are pretty expensive, I’d recommend stopping by a beauty counter and trying them out before you buy.
It’s always tricky to know your colour match, however, the ladies at the counter’s are always so helpful. I find colour matching or taking a sample home with you is the best way to trial these luxury beauty brands.
Have you tried any of these foundations? What’s your holy grail? Let me know in the comments below!
