#MeToo

Today’s blog post touches upon a very personal and controversial topic – the #MeToo campaign.
#MeToo started trending on social media a couple of weeks a go in wake of sexual harassment allegations against producer Henry Weinstein. So, today I want to address a topic that seems quite hard for me to even write pen to paper.

I stand by the #MeToo campaign 110%. Women can dress ‘sexy’ without wanting attention from men and that gives no right to any man to sexually harass someone, whether that’s verbally or physically.
It infuriates me how many women have suffered in silence. It’s not ok to touch me or any woman inappropriately!

When I was younger, I found that this happened quite a lot during my teens and my early twenties. When I look back on it now – I wish I was as strong as I am today. I would of fought those men who thought it was ok to harass me. This goes much deeper but I need to draw a line on what I’m comfortable sharing.

I just want to share and say to all women – stand up for what you believe in. We’re in this together.
